Floris NeusüssFloris Neusüss, born on the 3rd of March 1987 is a German photographer who has worked his whole life to further the study's of camera-less photography, even teaching it himself. Neusüss presented great ambition to the photogram process, in scale and visual treatment, with his whole-body photograms (Körperfotogramms) that he first exhibited in the 1960s. Since that time, he has explored even further into photogram's and their numerous technical, conceptual and visual possibilities.

My first two photograms didn't turn out great, they are quite grey and hazy, this most likely being because they were left in the developer for too long or were exposed too much. You can also tell this is the case as there isn't a lot of definition in any of the objects, .ie. the cologne bottle was transparent, so it should have been much darker then the head of the bottle. However, if you look at the photo that is more full (at the top) you can see after some experimenting with aperture and time I was able to get a better turnout. The photo has a much higher level of contrast as well as involving many different textures, for example the newspaper being very thin, allowing some light to get through so only the words of the page remain, or the two large letters (US) were on acetate, leaving a cool effect. My favourite however being the film strip with the boy wearing the hat, this just being in the darkroom by chance however being what I think is one of the best parts of the photogram.
